Urban area development project (Holon, Bat Yam and Rishon Lezion)

The Urban area development project is being expedited by the Ministry of Transport & Road Safety through Ayalon Highways Co. Ltd. This far-reaching project, which is intended to upgrade the public transportation system in Metropolitan Tel Aviv, creates a new standard for public transportation. The project includes creation of a continuous, efficient and convenient broad-based metropolitan network of priority lanes for public transportation that includes dedicated lanes with traffic signal priority, the construction of bicycle paths, upgrade of the urban landscape and station environment, and upgrade of public transportation, including higher frequency service and new lines.
